Subtle and Luxurious Residence in Nõmme

Nõmme has always been a special place – defined by its pine forests, tranquillity and dignified atmosphere. It was here, in this nature-oriented setting, that a private residence was completed in 2023, with a character that is both contemporary and timelessly refined. The client’s wish was to create a home that would support the architect’s bold and unconventional form, while at the same time offering a family-friendly and cosy living environment.
My task as the interior architect was to translate this architecture into the language of the interior – to bring together a modern form and warm, real-life values. The initial ideas grew out of analysing references and inspiration images, where a shared understanding emerged: the future home should be grounded in a darker floor tone, balanced by moderately light walls. From this principle, the entire concept gradually took shape.
